Open the Settings app and tap Network and Internet. On the Network and Internet screen, tap WiFi. On the WiFi screen, you will see a Wi-Fi preferences option. Tap it. The Wi-Fi preferences screen has two WPS options; WPS Push button, and WPS Pin entry.

If your router has a WPS button, you will need to tap the WPS Push button option. Tap the WPS button on your router, and then tap this option on your Android phone to connect to the network.

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi router supports the WPS button feature. (Kindly refer to your router’s user manual for this step).
  • On your Apps screen, find and launch the Settings app.
  • Tap Wi-Fi > Menu button > WPS push button.

  • Press the physical WPS button on your router. Below is an example taken from a Cisco router.

When you see the “Connected to Wi-Fi network” message, tap OK.

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi router supports the WPS PIN entry feature. (Kindly refer to your router’s user manual for this step).
  • On your Apps screen, find and launch the Settings app.
  • Tap Wi-Fi > Menu button > WPS PIN Entry.
  • Next, you’ll see the WPS setup prompt with an 8-digit PIN.
